Bottle gentianGentiana andrewsii Griseb.
- Notes: Gentiana andrewsii is similar to G. puberulenta except the stem is smooth. Sometimes several stems arise from the same root crown. The leaves are larger (2 1/2” by 5/8” to 3 1/2” by 1 1/2”). The inflorescence sometimes has more flowers per cluster, and the corolla is closed at the top and is lighter purple. The fruits are similar. Flowering is from early to late September, and fruiting begins in mid-September. G. andrewsii is frequent on moist to wet prairies.
