Artemisia caudata Michx.
- Notes: Artemisia campestris is a plumelike plant with finely divided leaves 2” to 3” long. The upper half of the plant has heads scattered on short branches. The flower heads and “seeds” (fruits) are similar to white sage. Flowering is from mid-August to mid-September, and fruiting begins in mid-September. A. campestris is infrequent on dry and sandy prairies and in open places and is often found in disturbed places.
