Heart-leaved meadow parsnipZizia aptera (Gray) Fern.
- Notes: Zizia aptera is similar to Z. aurea except the lowest leaves are undivided and heart-shaped. The leaf blades are 2” by 1 1/2”, and the leaf stalk is about 6” long. The inflorescence, flowers, and fruits are similar. Flowering is from mid-May to mid-June. Fruiting begins in early June. Z. aptera is infrequent on moist prairies.
