Polygalaceae - Milkwort Family
The milkwort family has small, irregular flowers with five petal-like sepals and three petals. The inflorescence, a raceme, develops new flowers at the tip while flowers with mature seeds fall from the base of the inflorescence. The leaves are alternate on the stem.
