Lamiaceae - Mint Family
The mint family (also known as Labiatae) is distinguished by opposite leaves, square stems, and two-lipped flowers. The flowers have two upper petals and three lower ones. There are two or four stamens, and the ovary is four-lobed, with the style originating between the lobes. The ovary matures into four nutlets.
