The species are presented in order by family and within families by genus. Pteridophytes, the ferns and fern allies, are first, followed by the flowering plants, dicots first and then monocots.

Cistaceae - Rockrose Family
The rockrose family has first flowers with five conspicuous petals and many stamens arranged in a raceme at the top of the plant. Later flowers are without obvious petals. The pistil is superior and produces a capsule surrounded by the calyx. Narrow alternate leaves are crowded on hairy stems.
