Apocynaceae - Dogbane Family
The dogbane family is similar in many ways to the milkweeds, except that dogbanes have small flowers in a branching inflorescence. The fruits are long, narrow pods and the seeds are bearded. Milky juice is found in the stems and leaves; the leaves are opposite on the stems.
