Psoralidium batesii Rydb.
Psoralea tenuiflora Pursh
- Notes: Psoralidium batesii is taller than P argophyllum (to 3’ tall), stands more erect, is more branched, and is less hairy. The leaflets are narrower (1” by 3/16”) and less hairy, with black spots above and below. The inflorescence and flowers are similar except the calyx has black spots. The pods are 3/16” long and are also covered with black spots. Flowering is from mid-June to early July, and fruiting begins in late June. P. batesii is infrequent on dry, rocky prairies and in woodland openings on ridges.
