Fragrant false indigoAmorpha nana Nutt.
- Notes: Amorpha nana is similar to A. canescens but not densely hairy and with black dots on the stems. The leaves are shorter and wider (1 3/4” by 1”), and there are fewer leaflets (ten to fourteen pairs of leaflets) per leaf with black dots on the underside of the leaflets. The inflorescence and flowers are similar except the calyx has black dots. The pods are similar in length but are more pointed. Flowering and fruiting dates are similar to A. canescens. A. nana is rare on dry, upland prairies.
